The duck that we call a common teal (the scientific name is Anas Crecca) gets its name from the 13th century German word for a ‘flock’ of birds. The birds have unique blue-green patches around their eyes, which is how the colour teal earned its name.
The duck for which the colour teal was named has blue-green markings with cream, white and black accents. Consider taking decoration inspiration from nature and using this beautiful colour scheme wherever you’re looking to create a calming, tranquil space in your home.
